“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurable more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen ” (Eph 3:20-21)
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
It’s amazing how God works answering our prayers more than we expect! I will share with you a couple of stories that will certainly raise your faith. Despite the snow, cold weather, and the difficulty in travel, God continues to save people among us!
Guadalupe is one of our most faithful members of our church in attendance and commitment to God, and despite the fact that he has less than a year in his relationship with Jesus, he is very committed to win his family for Christ. Three weeks ago he brought his sister Perla, and Edgar, the man she lives with, to church. That day at the service, both raised their hands wanting to receive Jesus in their hearts. They are very excited about their new relationship with Jesus, and I’m discipling them every Thursday afternoon. This past Sunday, we had a surprise baby shower for Perla at the church, she will have a baby soon and we did something to make her feel loved by Jesus through us. Praise the Lord!!!
Alex is a man with a disability, and is unable to walk. He uses a wheelchair, and doesn’t receive any help from the government because he doesn’t have papers to work in the USA. His wife is the provider for their family. They both live in Wis. Rapids and are now members of our church. They had a problem with their heating system in their mobile home. They were at risk of having a fire. We began to pray about it, because the cost of the repair was around $2,500. He also had back surgery, and they have the cost of a $10,000 hospital bill. By faith, he began to fill out some applications and his wife began to sell tamales to raise money for these bills. We prayed together, and God answered in an amazing way providing for his medical expenses and the expenses of the replacement of the heating system!
Presently, we are facing less attendance because some brothers and sisters of the church are now in Texas and Mexico. Some are there because of the work season and others are there for family vacations because of the holidays. Despite their absence, we still have an average of 20 adult people plus children coming every Sunday!
Thank you for your prayers and support for our ministry.
In Jesus… Rubens and Vanessa Silva.
